An Enchanting Evening at “Nocturne: A Night with A Gift for Music”

The serene surroundings of Garden Tiger in Ivanhoe Village were brought to life on the evening of May 23, 2024, as A Gift for Music hosted its newest signature event, Nocturne: A Night with A Gift for Music. Overlooking picturesque Lake Formosa, Garden Tiger provided a perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to celebrating the transformative power of music and the inspirational story of A Gift for Music.

The event featured an exquisite array of fine wines, a Grapefruit Serenade cocktail from The Good Pour, and delectable charcuterie, creating a delightful atmosphere for mingling among guests, who included music enthusiasts, special guests, and alumni. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the performance by the talented student musicians of A Gift for Music, whose soul-stirring melodies captivated an appreciative audience.

• Dr. Jeffery Redding, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Central Florida, who shared insights into the academic and personal growth that music education fosters.
• Michael Simpson, conductor of the A Gift for Music Chamber Strings orchestra, who discussed the program’s achievements and future aspirations.
